1. Who We Are

EterSoul ("we", "our", "us") operates the EterSoul mobile application and the website etersoul.me. Our contact email is privacy@etersoul.me.

2. What Data We Collect

Account data

Email address or phone number (for authentication only). We do not collect your real name unless you choose to provide it as your display name.

Conversation data

Messages you send to your digital soul are processed by our cloud AI inference service to generate replies. Message content is stored encrypted at rest and is never sold to third parties or used to train external AI models.

Personality data

With your explicit consent, you may upload screenshots or describe personal details (Data Heist) to improve your soul's accuracy. This data is stored in your private account and not shared publicly.

Usage data

Standard server logs (IP address, request timestamps, device platform). Retained for 90 days for security purposes.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To operate and improve the EterSoul service
• To generate AI responses on your behalf (proxy chat)
• To send transactional notifications (subscription status, security alerts)
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

4. Data Sharing

We share data only with the following categories of sub-processors, each bound by data processing agreements:

• Cloud AI providers (DeepSeek, Google Gemini, Qwen) — inference only; no training
• Payment processor (RevenueCat / Apple / Google) — subscription management
• Infrastructure (Railway, Cloudflare R2) — hosting and asset storage
• Notification delivery (Apple APNs, Google FCM) — push notifications

5. Your Soul Page (Public Profile)

If you choose to make your soul public, visitors can see your display name, bio, soul level, and life diary posts. You can make your profile private, disable chat, or hide your diary at any time from Settings → Privacy.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

You may request account deletion at any time from the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account). After a 7-day cooling-off period, all your personal data is permanently deleted. We provide a GDPR data export before deletion upon request.

7. Children's Privacy

EterSoul is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact privacy@etersoul.me.

8. International Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States and Singapore. Data transfers to the EU/EEA are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses. For Chinese users, data may be processed on servers within mainland China in compliance with the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL).

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact privacy@etersoul.me to exercise these rights. We respond within 30 days.

10. Changes to This Policy

We will notify you of material changes via in-app notification or email at least 14 days before they take effect.
